• The main campus of the University of Tennessee has more than 27,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
• UT’s nationally ranked programs include accounting, business administration, logistics, nuclear engineering, and education.
• Top graduate programs are offered in logistics, social work, law, education, civil engineering, and physical therapy, according to the U.S. News & World Report rankings.
• The area is also home to eight four-year colleges, four two-year and community colleges, and six technology training centers.

• Excellent school systems throughout the area prepare students for advanced education and for the workforce.
• Expansion Management magazine has ranked the Oak Ridge Schools among the top school systems in the nation for 10 years running. Students’ SAT and ACT scores consistently exceed national averages.
• An Oak Ridge High School team won the top $100,000 prize in the national Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology.
• Oak Ridge High School won first place in the Tennessee Science Bowl in 2008 and 2009, defeating some 50 teams from across the state.
